Hello everyone. Well, the reviews are in, and the most well-received movie...you guessed it. United 93. Big surprise. The movie had been stirring up some hard feelings from the American public who say it's too soon, so if the movie was completely blasphemous, director Paul Greengrass would be out of a job. But fortunately for him, the movie got rave reviews, with a Michelle Alexandria from Eclipse stating "Who knew those heartless, shameless, money grubbing ba****ds in Hollywood could make such a sensitive and fabulous moving film?" Ok then. (Anger management perhaps...) On the other hand however, RV, the family comedy starring Robin Williams, got terrible reviews. One from Colin Covert of Star Tribune says "It's painful to see Williams, a famously inventive cutup, stuck in a film that finds humor in a man covered in liquid poo or clinging to the windshield wipers of a runaway vehicle. There already is an actor for such roles and his name is Tim Allen." Finally, someone who realizes that it's not Robin Williams, who may be the funniest man alive, to be blamed, but the lousy scripts and movies he's unfortunately become involved with. I couldn't agree more. And so, to sign off, here's a pic...

And here's the link to an unofficial website: http://www.robin-williams.net/ (which unfortunately has a picture of RV at the front). All together now..."Goooooooooooooooood Morrrrrrninnnnng Viiiiiiiiieeetttnaaam!!!!!!!"

Hello again! Sorry about the long break. Tragedy in the family. Anyway, the movie business has been overloaded with news of upcoming movies in the past weeks. For example, it was reported that Kiefer Sutherland has signed on to do a movie version of the hit show "24", as well as three more seasons of the show. The movie will be a two hour representation of a 24 hour day, which in my opinion completely undermines what made the show so popular...to be aired in real time!!! Meanwhile, the new drama "United 93", the 9/11 movie which opens next week, has been stirring up controversy left and right. The latest bit of news is that the Iraqi actor who plays the lead terrorist in the movie was supposedly not allowed to go to the premiere. And of course there's the talk that the movie comes two soon after the attacks. So are you going to see it? If anyone's actually reading this blog, respond and tell me! And finally, Tom Cruise had yet another 500,000,000,000 interviews plugging his new movie, "Mission Impossible III". You know what? Stop interviewing the guy and focus on the movies! Look, he's a wack job, we get it, so stop lecturing him on the consequences of Oprah's freak fest and concentrate on the good movies he's made. And he's made a lot of them. But...to look back on that one day when Tom went bananas, here's the link. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5883772879840922003&q=Tom+cruise+on+Oprah&pl=true Sigh...

WHAT A WACK JOB. I MEAN, SERIOUSLY.

Anyway, I'll try to be back regularly to update you on movie news. If anything else moviewise comes to mind, post it on the blog.

So, I'm the movie man, here with all your movie news and such. Just started today. So where to start? It's been a pretty bad spring for the box office. With Ice Age: The Meltdown the first movie to even go over the 100 million dollar mark, the studios are freaking out. With the summer movie season coming up fast, Sony Pictures is counting on "The Da Vinci Code" to win big, after a dismal movie streak with such flicks as "Ultraviolet" and "Underworld: Evolution". Fortunately for them, the case involving Dan Brown, the Da Vinci Code's author, and alleged copyright infringment was closed in favour of the Da Vinci Code. This means the rumour of the postponed release date is no more. Well, until next time,
